Marketing Defined is Moving to WP Magazine theme
Would love to have constructive reader feedback to help me optimize and redesign the Marketing Defined blog, so the current move to the new Structure - WP Magazine style theme goes smoothly. After dealing with important family matters and a heavy load offline.. I’ve finally made the commitment to redo all the broken posts from 2003 onwards… yes! the Marketing Defined blog is now 5 years old.
I am so humbled at the generosity of Justin Tadlock and the release of this exceptional Structure WP Magazine style theme. While WP magazine style themes are now quite freely available, there are none as complete as the Structure Magazine theme, and the only remuneration Justin accepts are donations!!
Sadly there are only fragmented backups of “complete” blog posts since January 2003 [a huge chunk of an entire 4 years of posts are beyond instant repair], but the good news I guess is they will all be updated as they are rewritten, with all old, broken links fixed… Of course there’s always the WayBack Machine and Search Engines to help with lost posts.
Please be patient over the next few days and accept my apologies if you find that some posts in the archives do no go beyond the “Read More” link. It will all be fixed soon. Go ahead and make comments about such errors, after all it also gets you entered into the monthly draw for an Ipod or similar gadget.
It also seems to be the opportune time to re-write all old blog posts with updated SEO and Small Business profitability tips. But in the meantime to keep readers updated as I do the redesign, I promise to keep adding topical posts on best practice SEO and PPC, in line with the prevailing LSI shift in SEO and theme related optimization, as opposed to the old practice of senseless keyword stuffing.
Also excitingly, working hard to complete a new information product; a physical product to be shipped via DVD.. featuring step-by-step tutorials on how to publish product video tutorials and sell/drop ship them via eBay or any niche website of your choosing. Here’s a guarantee:
Once You Understand How to Publish and Sell Info Products - AND - put It Into Practice, Essentially You’ll Never Be Poor Again!
Some other goals for the new look Marketing Defined site include:
- regaining the Google PR5 which I lost a few months ago due to all the broken posts
- writing up an informative new Increase Website Income category with detailed posts and tutorials on the different methods to make money online.
- share with readers my plans to monetize any Wordpress Blog regardless of the niche topic, by using Magazine style themes… starting with the home page
Please do stay tuned, and watch in real time as this Blog is redesigned making maximum use of the Structure WP Magazine theme and a list of must-have WP plug ins. It’s best to subscribe via instant email notifications (link is at the top r.h. side of this page, or at the end of each complete post), so you get a copy of the best way to set up this Structure Magazine theme and manipulate its exceptional features, widgets and ad boxes to generate the income or top SE placements you desire.
So you don’t have to watch helplessly [like I did at the beginning of this venture] while my entire Sidebar disappeared to the bottom of the page. Set up the Structure theme in a logical, orderly manner and it’s a real buzz watching all those boxes and plug ins fit together, just like those magazine themes you would ordinarily have to shell out big bucks to own.
AND - mostly, thanks for your patience and support… look forward to seeing those Feedburner subscriptions return to the previous healthy levels.
Trust the monthly prize of an Ipod [to be drawn from lists of new subscribers and all comments left on this blog] will be a just reward for your active participation in the new Marketing Defined blog. Will post details of the competition shortly.
