Use Negative Keywords For Targeted Adwords Clicks
In the field of Affiliate Marketing , mastering the correct application of Negative Keywords has contributed in no small way to increasing targeted clicks and reducing the advertising costs for many a Google Adwords campaign.
The four types of keyword matching available to Adwords users are: - broad match, phrase match, exact match and negative match.
- Broad match: keyword as it is
- Phrase match: “keyword in quotes”
- Exact match: [keyword in brackets]
- Negative match: -keyword with trailing minus sign
Broad match is the default option, thus when you include keyword phrases such as golf shoes in your keyword list, your ads will appear when users search for both golf and shoes, in any order – and possibly along with other terms. Thus escalating your PPC costs!!
